Six causes, ranked by how often they are the real one. The first one is right about eight times out of ten.
If you have bars but nothing loads, the fix is almost always this: the travel eSIM is not selected as your data line, or Data Roaming is off for that line. A travel eSIM is a roaming profile — with roaming off it connects to the network and carries no data. You need both settings, not one.
Menu names shift a little between Samsung, Pixel and others, but the two switches are always called something close to "mobile data" and "roaming".
Almost always one of two settings. Either the travel eSIM is not the line selected for cellular data, or Data Roaming is switched off for that line. Both have to be right. A travel eSIM is a roaming profile by design, so with roaming off it registers on the network, shows bars, and carries no data at all.
It lets the phone quietly fall back to your other line for data when the current one looks weak — which can mean your home SIM roaming at your carrier's rates without you noticing. Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data > Allow Cellular Data Switching, and turn it off while you travel.
Five minutes. The phone has to find and register on a partner network, which is not instant, and airplane mode on and off usually speeds it up. If you still have nothing after a restart and five minutes, it is a settings problem, not a signal problem.
No. A QR code can only be installed once, and deleting a profile is permanent on most phones. That is why the install guide says not to delete the line until the trip is over. If it happened, email support@landedesim.com — an unused plan is refunded in full, and we will reissue where the supplier allows it.
Email support@landedesim.com with your order email address. You get a replacement eSIM or a full refund — the promise on every order does not have a troubleshooting checklist attached to it.
